THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal assets after 7,000 fireworks were seized from an address in Bradford.

Police received intelligence from the community and partners about fireworks reportedly being sold illegally to children in the Ravenscliffe area. 

Officers attended several addresses on St Leonards Grove where 7,000 fireworks were located in a garage. 

The three people arrested - all aged in their 20s - have been bailed while further enquiries are carried out.

West Yorkshire Police statement

A spokesperson for the force said: "Three males aged 22, 24 and 45 have been arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal assets after 7,000 fireworks were seized from an address in Girlington area of Bradford.

They added: "We attended several addresses on St Leonards Grove, where 7,000 fireworks were located in a garage. 

"The three people arrested have been bailed whilst further enquiries are carried out.
