A JUDGE has extended the custody time limit for a Bradford woman awaiting trial for murder.

Susan Poole, 52, of Shetland Close, is accused of the murder of David Hart at Shetland Close on April 16.

She is currently being held at Rampton High Secure Hospital.

Her trial is listed to begin on March 3 next year and is estimated to last ten days.

Prosecutor Michelle Colborne KC requested and was granted an extension to Ms Poole’s custody time limit, which is scheduled to expire on October 18.

She said: “The case was originally listed for trial, but the trial date was moved because the defendant was and still is in a situation where she’s unfit for trial.

“The application was for a six-month adjournment in order that she may become fit and be present to defend at her own trial.”

She said a psychiatrist was in the process of writing a report.

Representing Poole, Narita Bahra KC did not object to the application.

She said: “Miss Poole’s mental health is really fluctuating."

His Honour Judge Jonathan Rose granted a time limit extension to March 4, 2025, the day following the date of the commencement of the trial.

He ordered the psychiatric report to be delivered by October 21.

The next hearing will take place on November 28 for counsel and the court to review the position.
