FIREFIGHTERS from Bradford helped to tackle a blaze in a flat last night.
Crews from Odsal, Cleckheaton and Dewsbury stations were called to the fire in a ground-floor flat on Fox Street, Cleckheaton, at around 7.45pm.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service was also called to the scene as the occupant was suffering from smoke inhalation.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) said the blaze was in the bathroom of the property.
The spokesperson added: "Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"The ambulance service was requested for the occupant suffering from smoke inhalation.
"Smoke alarms were fitted and working at the time of the incident," they added.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
