A BRADFORD business that wants its customers “to be your own kind of beautiful” has been nominated for a T&A award.
We asked readers to share which beauty salon in the district they thought should take the top spot in the Telegraph & Argus 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' competition.
Readers nominated their favourite via our online voting platform and we aim to profile all 10 finalists.
Today the T&A is featuring Odsal-based Citrine Aesthetics, on Pearson Road, which is run by Christina Kochan.
“I live and breathe Citrine so to be nominated for an award is amazing,” said Christina.
“This is fantastic for the business.
“I have worked in the industry for a number of years and opening Citrine was a dream of mine."
Citrine opened in November 2020 and Christina has enjoyed serving her customers for four years.
“I see the most amazing clients and students every week,” she said.
“I enjoy meeting new people and making people feel better about themselves.
“We literally do everything and we’re a one-stop shop.
“We do nails, hair extensions, aesthetics treatments, and beauty treatments.
“A lot of my clients have turned into friends.
“We’re going from strength to strength.”
Although Christina started in the beauty business many years ago, she took a break and then came back to it.
“I first started in the beauty business 16 years ago,” she said.
“I came out of the beauty industry but I definitely missed it when I was away. It’s where my heart is.
“My motto is ‘be your own kind of beautiful, no matter what'.
“Everyone is unique and that’s what I like about being in the beauty business.”
To vote for your winning salon, grab a copy of the T&A and fill in the voting coupon.
Running until October 12, there is still an opportunity to help your favourite beauty salon take the top spot.
Speaking as the online nominations for the T&A Best Beauty Salon 2024 opened, Nigel Burton, Telegraph & Argus editor, said: “There are so many amazing beauty salons across the Bradford district with dedicated staff who help their clients to feel and look great.
“These businesses were hit hard during the Covid-19 pandemic due to having to close through lockdowns or operate under restrictions, so it’s great to see them with their doors open again and thriving.”
