AN inquest has been opened after a father-of-three died following a motorbike crash in Bradford

Quinn Barr was riding an orange KTM 125 Duke motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a red Toyota Avensis, near Thornton Road's junction with Leaventhorpe Lane, at around 9.30pm on September 20.

The 26-year-old was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away eight days later.

The inquest into Mr Barr's death was opened at Bradford Coroners' Court this morning.

The brief hearing, overseen by assistant coroner Angela Brocklehurst, was told Mr Barr, who was born in Bradford, worked as a mechanic.

She said: "Mr Barr died at Leeds General Infirmary at 4.12pm on September 28.

"His death was as a result of a road traffic collision."

Ms Brocklehurst said she was awaiting further reports following Mr Barr's death.

She added: "Police have advised they are pursuing further enquiries.

"With this in mind, I will suspend the inquest until June 7, 2025, with a review to be held on November 21."

After Mr Barr died, his partner Laura paid tribute to him.

She told the Telegraph & Argus: "My beautiful Quinn, our hearts have been broken forever.

"Nothing will ever be the same again.

"You brought so much happiness into my life and our children's lives.

"I will make sure they know everyday you went above and beyond for them.

"Life is just cruel. It shouldn't be you. Love you.

"Our boys will love you forever daddy."

A GoFundMe page - set up by family friend Kayleigh Wearne - has raised more than £3,100 to support Laura and her three boys.

It reads: "I want to take this opportunity to try and raise some funds to support my friend Laura - Quinn's beloved partner and mother of their three beautiful sons - through one of the worst experiences in life anyone could ever face.

"Laura has not asked for support or help once since all of this.

"She has just continued to carry on strong and fighting every day."

The Telegraph & Argus asked West Yorkshire Police if any updates were available on the investigation.

A spokesperson said enquiries were ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who saw the movements of either vehicle immediately prior to the crash, should contact police on 101, quoting log number 1941 of September 20.

Anyone with footage which may help police is also asked to get in touch.
