A West Yorkshire children's hospice is inviting the community to see its facilities.
Forget Me Not children's hospice in Huddersfield is hosting open days on October 16 and October 19 at Russell House, Fell Greave Road.
Visitors will be able to see the facilities, including the sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, cinema, and soft play area.
There will also be a chance to see the new garden room, which opened in July and is used for counselling, peer support, and sibling groups.
Kirsty Goddard, registered manager at Forget Me Not, said: "Our open days are something all the team look forward to, because it’s an opportunity to dispel people’s misconceptions about what a children’s hospice is like - what it’s like to stay here and what it’s like to work in.
"For families who might need our support it’s a chance to come and have a look round and see what a cosy, joyful place of comfort and support our hospice is, a real home-from-home."
Visitors will also be able to meet staff, find out about volunteering and career opportunities, and buy Forget Me Not branded goods.
More details about both days can be found on their website.
The event on October 16th is only open to businesses, schools, and groups, and will require a booking - email fundraising@forgetmenotchild.co.uk for more information.
