A construction company spearheading a major Bradford house-building project has donated £5,000 to a charity to help people access health care and other services.
Esh Construction's donation to Better Lives Charity will be used to buy up to 20 bikes and accessories for service users of Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The initiative aims to support those struggling with public transport costs.
Mary Pegington, sustainability officer at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Receiving this donation from Esh means we will be able to provide 20 bikes, helmets, locks and lights to a range of people who use our services who struggle with the cost of public transport.
"This will make a big difference to their lives."
The funding comes from Esh's nearby project in Ripleyville, where they are building 73 affordable homes.
Megan Roberts, social value manager for Yorkshire, said: "The bikes will not only encourage healthier community living and practices, but also support vulnerable people in their ambition to live more independently."
