AN investigation is continuing to establish the cause of a huge fire which ripped through a former block of flats in Bradford city centre.
Firefighters from across Bradford were called to the major blaze at the unoccupied eight-storey apartment block on Bolton Road last Wednesday night.
Flames were seen licking out of the roof of the John Green building.
Today, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
At the height of the blaze, there were crews from 10 fire stations with multiple aerial appliances at the scene.
People were advised to avoid the area if possible with Bolton Road, between Stott Hill and Lower Kirkgate, closed both ways for much of Thursday.
