Colleagues from across Bradford Teaching Hospitals were celebrated at a special awards ceremony.

The Brilliant Bradford Awards were created to recognise the hard work and dedication staff at the trust have shown over the past year.

The awards, held at Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford, were sponsored by Sovereign Health Care and Bradford Hospitals Charity.

Their support fully funded the event.

Sovereign’s community programme co-ordinator, Kauser Mukhtar, proudly presented the We Care Award on the night.

As well as celebrating teams and individuals of the year, awards were given to ‘unsung heroes’ and those providing outstanding patient care.

Trust chair, Sarah Jones, said: "This year the foundation trust had a record-breaking 230 nominations for six awards - all of them reflecting the hard work, success and innovation of colleagues and teams across Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s Hospital, Skipton Renal Dialysis Unit, and the district’s community hospitals at Westbourne Green, Westwood Park, Eccleshill, and Shipley.

"The ceremony helped shine a light on NHS staff who do an incredible job and go above and beyond the call of duty."

"We honour them with this Outstanding Achievement Award and recognise not just their professional excellence but their profound strength of character.
