A SALON owner who offers mobile appointments because she believes "everyone deserves a pamper" is thrilled to be nominated for an award.
The Telegraph & Argus recently launched its Best Beauty Salon 2024 competition, with readers invited to share their favourite firms.
Nominations were made through our online voting platform and were subsequently whittled down to the final 10.
One of those to be selected as a finalist was Glow Beauty Salon, on Westgate in Baildon.
Owner Eleanor Thorpe opened the salon at the young age of 22 in November 2022.
From there, she has built a solid client base in the heart of Baildon, offering "affordable" treatments.
Eleanor even has some customers who have been with her since she entered the industry.
She said: "I wanted to create an affordable salon offering all types of beauty treatments, including laser which is something I specialise in after completing my level 4 qualification.
"I am very fortunate to have been treating some of the same clients since I was 17."
Eleanor added: "I offer mobile appointments to local residents who are unable to travel to the salon for various reasons as I feel that everyone deserves a pamper.
"I strive to provide high quality at affordable treatments for my clients."
On being nominated for the award along with nine other salons across the Bradford district, she said: "It is a huge achievement for myself to be in the top 10 of the Telegraph & Argus competition at such a young age."
She said she was delighted at the news and said the support from her clients "means everything" to her.
Don't miss out on your chance to shout up for your favourite beauty salon as part of our competition.
It really couldn't be simpler to vote for the business you think should win.
All you need to do is fill out the voting form, which can be found in the T&A.
The voting coupon will run in the newspaper until October 12, so there is plenty of opportunity to make sure the beauty salon you think is the best is in with a chance of taking the top spot.
