A FOUR-WHEEL drive vehicle was seized on a major Bradford road for having no MOT or tax.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - posted on X yesterday about a vehicle they stopped on Killinghall Road, in Bradford.
The vehicle was a red Mitsubishi.
Checks showed the car had no valid MOT or Vehicle Excise Licence, according to a spokesperson for the Steerside Team.
The vehicle was seized on behalf of the DVLA.
The driver was also reported for the offences.
Operation Steerside was launched in 2016 specifically to tackle dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford.
This was two months after the Telegraph & Argus launched its 'Stop the Danger Drivers' campaign.
It then evolved several years later into a multi-agency partnership to tackle crimes on the roads.
As of January this year, Bradford district police had taken action against 15,000 motorists for illegal or anti-social driving.
