POLICE have explained why a car doing delivery work in Bradford was seized.
The vehicle was stopped on Kings Road in the east of the city.
This was due to faulty brake lights.
Upon further inspection, officers from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside team found the driver had insufficient insurance for the delivery work being carried out.
The car was seized with the driver reported to court.
A post on the Operation Steerside X account from Thursday read: "This vehicle was stopped on Kings Road due to faulty brake lights, but was found to have insufficient insurance for the delivery work being carried out.
"Vehicle seized and driver reported to court."
Operation Steerside - the forces dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - was formed in 2016, two months after the T&A launched its Stop the Danger Drivers campaign.
It then evolved several years later into a multi-agency partnership to tackle crimes on the roads.
