Although it’s been named the next UK City of Culture for 2025, is the birthplace of artist David Hockney and is home to award-winning curry restaurants, there is so much more to discover, don’t you think?
From garden centres to Salts Mill, “interesting” old architecture and “amazing" food, there are plenty of reasons why residents and visitors love Bradford.
Especially according to Reddit users on the subreddit AskUK who were asked “What’s special about Bradford?”
Let’s see what some social media users had to say – see if you agree.
One person replied to the Reddit thread: “Good south Asian food, bit of Victorian history, David Hockney, a good media museum.”
Another had a huge list and shared what they think makes the city special, including Bingley Agricultural Show which they said is “niche to me”.
They added: "Nice cathedral and German Quarter, Salts Mill and Saltaire, Haworth and Bronte country, Tong Garden Centre, nice moors nearby there (Wuthering Heights etc).”
