A BRADFORD hotel has been taken over by a new firm.

The Cambridge Hotel, which has operated in Huddersfield since 1993, has taken over the former Ibis Budget Bradford on Prince Court on Canal Road.

The hotel features 86 bedrooms, all now fully open for both walk-in and online bookings, as well as an open-plan reception and dining area.

"We are just expanding," Mr Sarwar told the Telegraph & Argus.

"We have got one in Brighouse and Huddersfield.

"We saw this one online and was interested."

"This marks a new chapter for the hotel, and we are eager to welcome both new and returning guests to experience our refreshed facilities, right at the heart of Bradford."

This was expanded by 34 in 2000 and 45 in 2012 making it a 94-bedroom hotel with a bar and restaurant.

The Cambridge Hotel in Bradford opened in August, with rooms priced between £60 and £120.

"We are on booking.com and Expedia. We have had a couple okay-ish weekends since opening.

"After the new year is usually the busiest time."

The firm said the hotel was purpose-built in 2008 and the previous owner recently sold it to focus on their other hotel and retail business ventures.
