A MAN has been jailed after admitting to assaulting two men and stealing chocolates and coffee at a Bradford shopping centre.
Alexander Taylor, of Thornes Road in Wakefield, was jailed for eight weeks earlier this month.
Court documents say the five offences were "so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified".
The offending occurred at The Broadway in the city centre in July and September.
On July 12, the 26-year-old stole chocolate to the value of £100 from Sainsbury's.
A day later, he again stole chocolate from the store. This time to the value of £50.
Also on July 13, Taylor assaulted a man by beating in the Sainsbury's.
Taylor returned to the store on September 17 to steal three jars of coffee, to the value of £18.75, and assaulted another man.
He was sentenced at Bradford Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 19.
Taylor was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to both victims.
