A couple's annual gig to raise awareness of baby loss will take place once again in October.

Hartley's Gig is held in memory of Hartley, the first child of couple Gavin and Amy.

The couple lost their baby due to medical issues at 22 weeks, in 2020.

The charity 4louis provided the couple with a memory box for Hartley, which contained a birth certificate, photos, hand and footprints done by midwives, a teddy bear, and a book.

The couple said: "This memory box was the only piece of Hartley we felt we had left and even though it was devastating carrying a box out of the hospital instead of our baby, it somehow made things easier.

"For this reason, we put on a charity event every year in Hartley’s memory called Hartley’s Gig."

The gigs have so far raised enough money to provide more than 60 families with memory boxes.

As well as multiple bands, including Elements and pop choir NFG, Hartley's Gig this year will feature a raffle with prizes including restaurant and shop vouchers.

Money raised will help to fund more memory boxes, each of which costs £30 to create.

The gig also hopes to raise awareness that not every pregnancy goes to plan.

All are welcome to Hartley's Gig, which will take place at Old Brodleians Rugby Club, in Hipperholme, on Friday, October 11.

Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased on the door, or via PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/Hartleygig
