A POPULAR pub has reopened after a major makeover.
The Old House at Home in Cleckheaton is serving locals again following a six-figure investment.
It comes after it was acquired by pub management company Stonegate Group.
The Albion Road spot is likely to score with sports fans, as it’s now showing major sports channels such as Sky Sports and TNT.
The pub closed in late August for an extensive refurbishment and has reopened as part of Stonegate Group’s Craft Union.
The new look and feel will provide a cosier pub experience for locals, says the Stonegate Group, with customers able to enjoy a more contemporary and enjoyable pub experience, while drinking one of the Old House at Home’s selection of tipples.
A new dartboard accompanies the existing pool table, which has moved to a different room in the pub providing more space. And on Mondays, pool fans can play for free.
Dogs are welcome, with the community pub being a popular spot for dog walkers due to its proximity to the Spen Valley Greenway.
The Old House at Home has a selection of beers, ciders, and wine, and the pub also has an extensive offering of no and low-alcohol offerings.
Shannon Maguire, operator of the Old House at Home, said: “Reopening as a Craft Union marks an exciting new chapter for the Old House at Home.
“We’re confident the refurbishments have not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub's community spirit, which was central to our vision during the investment.
“We're proud to offer a top-class beer range at competitive prices, and with our new darts board and HD screens showcasing all the big matches, we’re set to be the go-to spot for sports in Cleckheaton.”
There's free pool on Monday, Tombola Tuesdays and Wednesday Race Days.
Thursday night hosts the hugely popular quiz night while Friday night invites Cleckheaton locals to take to the mic and sing their favourite tune.
The weekend sees live sports played throughout, while Saturday is party night.
Sunday evening includes cash bingo from 3pm until 6pm.
