A MAN has been taken to hospital with a number of injuries after he was allegedly attacked in Heckmondwike.
Police received a report just after 11pm yesterday that a man had been assaulted on Market Place.
The man, who is in his 50s, was taken to hospital.
A 64-year-old man was arrested following the incident.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "It was reported that the victim and suspect were involved in a heated argument in the Wike Horse pub before a physical altercation took place outside.
"The injured man, who is aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for a number of injuries.
"A 64-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody."
