A CHARITY is organising an event for the homeless community in Bradford.

Bridge-It-Housing, which is located at 343 Wakefield Road, Bradford, BD4 7NB, is inviting anyone who is homeless to come and celebrate World Homeless Day at 11am on Thursday, October 10.

People attending the event will be offered free haircuts, food and hygiene packs.

There will be hot and cold food and drinks and a clothes bank will be available.

The event will include a pool tournament with prizes, a raffle and rugby and football tickets to be won.

There will also be entertainment on the day.

The event has only been able to take place through the generosity of local businesses who have offered up their services.

The charity is still looking for donations such as clothing which could be distributed to the homeless as well as entertainment for the event.

Bridge-It Housing provides housing and support to vulnerable single males and females.

The charity works to ensure that all its clients have as much respect, dignity, independence, choice and control over their own lives as possible.

The charity also aims to empower homeless people to feel part of society and become more confident about participating in decisions that affect their future.
