Changes to non-emergency patient transport services are set to impact some patients.
Following a national review by NHS England, new criteria will alter eligibility for transport.
To manage the changes in West Yorkshire, the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), in collaboration with the NHS Yorkshire Ambulance Service, is seeking feedback on how patients currently travel to medical appointments and what they would do if their current method became unavailable.
A survey has been launched for the purpose, open to all West Yorkshire patients until Sunday, October 13 and available here.
In addition to the survey, engagement events will be held across the region.
Details of the events will be available on the West Yorkshire ICB and the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership websites soon.
NHS-funded patient transportation will remain reserved for cases where it is deemed essential to ensuring an individual’s safety, safe mobilisation, condition management, or recovery.
