A THIRD man has been arrested after a hit-and-run left a 17-year-old pedestrian fighting for his life.

West Yorkshire Police cordoned off Halifax Road, Bradford, for most of yesterday following the fail to stop collision on Monday night.

The vehicle was "believed to be travelling above the speed limit" when officers initially spotted it.

A ward councillor branded the crash "absolutely horrendous" and "truly shocking".

This evening, West Yorkshire Police confirmed a 24-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He remains in police custody at this time.

Yesterday afternoon, it was confirmed two 33-year-old men had been arrested in connection with the incident.

One of them was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

The other was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They remain in police custody.
