A theatre group which offers performing arts training and opportunities to young people is preparing for a busy schedule, following a successful show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Stage84 brought 30 young performers to the Fringe to perform 'We Will Rock You Young@Part' to sell-out audiences, from August 6 to 10.

The show featured Queen’s legendary hits, and followed young revolutionaries Scaramouche and Galileo striving to restore rock'n'roll in an algorithm-dominated, post-apocalyptic world ruled by the Killer Queen.

The group first performed the show at the Alhambra Theatre in 2008 - with Anita Dobson, the wife of Queen guitarist Brian May, then in attendance.

During their trip to Edinburgh, the students visited two venues played by Queen: The Caley Picture House and the Edinburgh Playhouse.

This week, Stage84 is running its second summer school of the year, which will end with a performance for family and friends on Friday evening.

Next on the agenda is the 40th anniversary production of 'Les Misérables School Edition,' to be performed at Yeadon Town Hall from October 10 to 12.

To cap off the year, the group will present a 40th anniversary 'Christmas Spectacular' at St George’s Hall in Bradford, on Saturday, November 30.
