TWO men arrested following a hit-and-run on a major Bradford road which left a 17-year-old pedestrian fighting for his life remain in custody this morning.
West Yorkshire Police cordoned off Halifax Road for much of Tuesday following the fail to stop collision on Monday night.
The vehicle was "believed to be travelling above the speed limit" when officers initially spotted it.
A ward councillor branded the crash "absolutely horrendous" and "truly shocking".
On Tuesday afternoon, it was confirmed two 33-year-old men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
One man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
The other was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
When the Telegraph & Argus asked West Yorkshire Police for a latest update this morning, a spokesperson for the force confirmed both men remain in custody.
