A MOTORBIKE was "pre-emptively stung" to prevent a possible police pursuit in Bradford.

The black Suzuki bike was spotted bearing no registration plates whilst travelling on Harrogate Road in the east of the city.

West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside Team, which covers the Bradford district area, says the bike was "pre-emptively stung by officers".

The team worked alongside the force's Road Policing Unit.

An Operation Steerside post on X read: "This @SuzukiBikesUK was sighted bearing no registration plates whilst travelling on Harrogate Road @WYP_BradfordE.

"Pre-emptively stung by officers working alongside @WYP_RPU to prevent a possible pursuit."

Operation Steerside has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since the initiative was launched in 2016.
