A NEW Sicilian cafe has opened inside a unique Bradford city centre underground complex.

Since 2016, Sunbridgewells has offered a mix of attractions including pubs, bars, shops, and restaurants for Bradfordians to enjoy.

Founder Graham Hall sadly passed away in December 2022 leading to his son Harry taking the reigns the following May.

When visiting the complex you can expect to find pubs Wallers Brewery and The Rose & Crown, eateries La Caverna Pizzeria and Perilla, nightclubs Guilty Cocktail Bar and Not Guilty Bar Sunbridge Wells, and Lina’s Coffee Booth & Bar.

Owner Fulvio Vullo hopes his new cafe can help the complex generate more footfall.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus, he said: "As soon as I visited this place (Sunbridgewells), I fell in love with it.

"My aim is to help Harry (Hall) make the place busy and try to get more people in."

The cafe looks fresh with Silician-themed interior and a hand-made unit featuring daughter Charlotte's name.

Mr Vullo added: "We are from Palermo, the capital of Sicily. It is a mix of Sicilian and English.

"We have got cannoli, profiteroles and Tiramisu.

"We have also got carrot cake and lemon cake. We modify them with Sicilian tradition."

"My idea was to have a coffee bar where the food is of a Sicilian tradition. That is why we took this unit.

"The name of the coffee bar is Romeo because her surname is Romeo and it reminds people of the history of Romeo and Juliet, a very famous drama."
