A BRADFORD station attended a property fire in a town centre last night.

The blaze occurred on Broad Street in Halifax just after 9pm.

The West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service says approximately a quarter of the building was involved.

Crews, which also included firefighters from Halifax, Rastrick, and Illingworth, used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

A spokesperson for the service said: "Building fire approximately 20m x 10m, fire on ground floor.

"Approximately 25 per cent of building involved in fire. 

"Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire."
