More than 200 people gathered for a mela organised by Manningham Housing Association (MHA) at the Karmand Community Centre.

The event featured live music, a spread of South Asian dishes, community awards, and activities for young people.

Children enjoyed balloon modelling, face painting, a bouncy castle, and a penalty shootout.

A calligraphy workshop, and a performance by the Kawale music group, also formed part of the proceedings.

The NHS wellbeing stall and charity clothes stall proved popular.

There was also a community safety booth, where police and ward officers offered safety information and advice.

Lee Bloomfield, MHA chief executive, said: "As well as providing and maintaining high quality affordable homes for families who need them, our dedicated team endeavours to do all we can with the resources we have to bring local communities together.

The evening concluded with the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Award and the Gardener of the Year Award.

Attendees were asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey before leaving, with one person describing the event as "a delightful experience."
