FIRST Bradford has confirmed a member of staff has been suspended pending an investigation - after concerns were raised over his social media activity.

Bus company First and the Telegraph & Argus have been contacted by a member of the public who complained that the employee in question had shared a "highly inappropriate" post with "strong anti-Semitic tones".

The member of the public included a screenshot, which appeared to show the employee shared the post on his Facebook page from another account on the social networking site.

The post included the words 'when you buy Israel products' followed by a broken heart emoji and a crying emoji above a drawing of what looked like a small hand emerging from what appeared to be a carrier bag full of blood.

A spokesperson for First Bradford told the T&A today: "We can confirm we have been made aware of social media posts by a member of staff, who has been suspended pending an investigation."

The news comes after the T&A revealed last month that three staff members at First Bradford were no longer employed by the company following an investigation over social media posts. These posts were of an anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant nature.
