A WALKER with a suspected broken ankle was rescued from one of Yorkshire's famous 'three peaks' on Saturday afternoon.
Cave Rescue Organisation received a call at just after midday from police to help the 34-year-old woman.
A CRO spokesperson said: "After speaking to the reporting party and use of phonefind it was established that the incident was on Penyghent.
"The team responded via Dale Head and a hasty team was sent ahead with medical equipment and splinted the affected ankle. It was possible to reach the injured party with CRO 4 - the team's all terrain vehicle, which then transported her back to the road head and transfer to the waiting ambulance. We wish her a speedy recovery and return to the mountains."
