More West Yorkshire residents will be able to access free peer-to-peer bereavement support from next week, when Sue Ryder will launch a new Grief Kind Space in Bradford.
Drop-in sessions, providing a space for people to come together and share their experiences of grief, will take place from 2.30pm to 4.30pm every Tuesday at Teamsport Bradford, Units 1 & 2, Beckside Business Park.
The first session will take place on Tuesday, September 10.
The Bradford Grief Kind Space will be Sue Ryder's seventh in the county, with spaces also hosted in Skipton and Bingley.
Tracy Brierley, area coordinator for West Yorkshire, said: "Our Grief Kind Spaces are welcoming, inclusive, and open to anyone over 18 who has experienced any kind of bereavement at any time.
"There is no need to register - just pop along!"
Sue Ryder is also looking for volunteers for a new space due to open in Baildon.
Details of further Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces opening in 2024 are available at www.sueryder.org/spaces
Information about volunteering at Grief Kind Spaces is available at sueryder.org/gkvolunteer or by emailing griefkindspaces@sueryder.org
While Sue Ryder is not a counselling service, support of a more formal nature is available via the charity's Online Bereavement Counselling Service at https://www.sueryder.org/grief-support/online-bereavement-support/online-bereavement-counselling/
