A golden opportunity has been put on offer by Bradford's Displace Yourself Theatre (DYT) to budding performers.

The Bradford-based theatre company is preparing for the City of Culture 2025, and is inviting volunteers to join their community chorus for their unique outdoor performance this October.

Locals can take the stage alongside professionals in a fun-filled, outdoor event scheduled for Saturday, October 12.

Regardless of previous performing experience, the opportunity is open to all.

Volunteers will be trained to become part of the dynamic DYT ensemble and will also have the chance to participate in workshops conducted by the troupe's professional performers.

Co-director of DYT, Mike Auger, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for young people and aspiring performers to take part in the lead up to City of Culture 2025, while also gaining invaluable experience and confidence."

Rehearsals begin early October in Bradford city centre and refreshments will be provided.

Travel cost assistance will be available for those coming from outside the city centre.

Bradford residents aged sixteen and over are encouraged to apply by September 8.

Interested individuals can do so by sending an email, audio or video to hello@displaceyourselftheatre.co.uk with their name and interest in joining the community chorus.
