PEOPLE looking for a challenge are being invited to take part in an 18-mile walk starting and finishing in Skipton to raise money for Dementia Forward.
Due to take place on Sunday, September 22, the 'Skipton 3 Peaks' walk will take in Sharphaw, Embsay Crag and Skipton Moor. Starting and finishing at the new Skipton Community Sports Hub in Carleton New Road, the route will take in some of the best views of Skipton and its surrounding countryside.
The walk will start at 8am, will cost £15 to take part, with walkers encouraged to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. Breakfast - provided by Ecology Building Society - will be included and finishers will be rewarded with a Dementia Forward T-shirt and goodie bag.
Simon White, of sponsors Home Instead, said: “Home instead is delighted to support Dementia Forward at the Three Peaks Walk. They are so knowledgeable and willing to offer practical support to people in the area. A truly worthy cause which we encourage the local community to support”.
