A WALK is to take place in Bradford tomorrow to raise funds for the family of a mum and three children who died in a house fire.

Bryonie Gawith, 29, was found dead at the scene in Westbury Road last Wednesday, and her three children, Denisty Birtle, nine, Oscar Birtle, five, and Aubree Birtle, 22 months, all died later in hospital.

A murder investigation was launched following the fire.

Starting at The Old Dolphin in Queensbury at 5pm on Wednesday, the walk, open for everyone to join, will go through Wibsey and Odsal before finishing at the Rattlers Club on Beacon Road.

Organiser and good friend of Bryonie, Jodie Beck said: "We want to raise as many funds as we can to help with the funeral and its costs.

"We are very close to the Gawiths and we are just doing all we can as a local community to help them.

"We will be carrying collection buckets and will have banners and mascots joining us.

"I am aware of over 70 people and kids are going to be coming."

A fun day will also be hosted at the Rattlers Club next Wednesday (September 5).

Jodie added: "We are just doing what we can to ensure they get the best send-off.

"As a mother of three children, it is just something you never think will happen so close to home.

"I used to sleep over at her house when we were younger. She was practically family.

"I was absolutely devastated. It was a tragic shock to everyone. It has still not sunk in.

"We want to give them four the best send-off they deserve."

A sponsored walk will be held earlier in the day by some of the West Bowling u11s rugby team.

They will start at Odsal Stadium at 1pm and head to Queensbury RLFC.
