A CAMRA branch has presented an award to a pub that has been described as a "true gem".
On Friday, August 23, the Heavy Woollen Branch of CAMRA presented The Rose and Crown, on Westgate, Cleckheaton, with its Pub of the Season Award for Summer 2024.
Branch chairman Mike Roebuck presented landlord Alan Warriner with the certificate and spoke about how the award is well deserved in a town with many good real ale establishments.
A spokesperson for the Heavy Woollen Branch of CAMRA said: "The pub is a true gem in the Heavy Woollen area, the Rose and Crown offers up to seven well-kept ales, ensuring there’s something for every beer lover.
"From refreshing blondes to rich ambers and robust stouts, their selection is expertly balanced and always served in top condition.
"Congratulations to the team at the Rose and Crown for their dedication to quality beer and their warm, welcoming atmosphere."
