AN online fundraiser has so far brought in more than £7,000 to help support the family of a mother and her three children who died in a house fire in Bradford

Emergency services were called to Westbury Road, in the BD6 area of the city, at around 2am on Wednesday.

Bryonie Gawith, 29, tragically died at the scene of the fire.

Bryonie's three children - nine-year-old Denisty Birtle, five-year-old Oscar Birtle, and 22-month-old Aubree Birtle - were taken to hospital where they all sadly died from their injuries.

West Yorkshire Police believe the incident was "domestic-related" and confirmed a 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder is in a critical condition in hospital.

The force said he is the ex-partner of a woman who was visiting the family.

Ami Challen, a friend of Bryonie and her family, set up a GoFundMe page yesterday and, at the time of publication, it had raised £7,702.

The money will help support Bryonie's family at this tragic time and eliminate some of the financial burdens they are facing, including funeral costs, legal expenses, and any other unforeseen challenges that may arise.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus today, Ami thanked everyone who had donated to the page so far.

"So many people have been incredibly generous at what is an absolutely horrendous time," she said.

"The money will help Bryonie's family who are going through what nobody should ever have to go through."

Ami said she had always been part of Bryonie's life.

"We were very close friends - we classed each other as cousins," she added.

"What has happened to Bryonie and her three beautiful children is so tragic, and the grief we're all feeling is very difficult.

"I can't get my head around what has happened."

She paid tribute to Bryonie and her children, saying: "She was kind, caring, bubbly - just a wonderful, wonderful person.

"She loved music.

"She loved dancing with those three special babies of hers.

"I'll always miss them and never forget them."

Yesterday, relatives of Bryonie and her three children issued a statement paying tribute to their "beautiful" loved ones.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 107 of August 21, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
