A DRIVER’S loose car battery was in danger of injuring someone, court records show.
Ashar Khan, 34, of Walker Drive, in Girlington, Bradford was found guilty of using a motor vehicle or trailer in a condition likely to cause danger of injury at Harrogate Justice Centre on August 9.
He pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing.
Khan drove a grey Audi A4 on Ripon Road, at Harrogate on July 7 last year, but its condition meant it was in danger of injuring someone, according to court records.
This was due to the main battery of the car being loose and not secured at all by fabric or mechanical means.
The 34-year-old was ordered to pay £788 in total.
This included a £120 fine, a surcharge of £48 to fund victim services, and £620 in costs.
An application was made to deduct this sum from Khan’s benefits, with the total due by September 30.
