A SHIPLEY-based sports retailer has launched its first-ever mobile app.

SportsShoes.com's app launch forms part of wider expansion plans for the business, which stocks running shoes, running clothing, and outdoor gear.

Developed by One Iota, the app is intended to connect customers and support the wider athlete community.

Customers can access personalised product and content suggestions based on previous activity, or opt for a standard shopping feed.

The app also integrates customer membership options throughout the shopping journey, enabling users to sync their England Athletics profile with their SportsShoes.com account, combining their running and fitness data with their shopping habits.

Development of the new platform has been supported by £4.6 million of investment by SportsShoes.com over the past three years in its workforce, processes, and facilities.

The retailer has also revamped its UK and international websites to give customers a better purchasing experience, including increased levels of personalisation around product discovery and advice.

To celebrate the app's launch, SportsShoes.com is organising a raffle, with prizes including training packages and kit from partners such as New Balance, Asics, Salomon, Adidas, and Garmin.

From a running perspective, these include Asics, Nike, Adidas, Hoka, and New Balance, while outdoor brands include Haglöfs, Montane, Rab, and Patagonia.
