LATEST: Work ongoing to fix burst water main amid flooding on city centre street
INVESTIGATIONS are taking place after a water main burst in Bradford city centre.
Jonathan Dixon sent the Telegraph & Argus pictures of some flooding at the bottom of Sunbridge Road, in the roadworks area, this morning.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: "We're investigating a burst in this area."
The company said people in the BD1, BD3, BD7 and BD8 areas may have low pressure or no water as a result of the incident.
"Our operational team is now on-site investigating this issue further and we will update further once we have more information from the site," the spokesperson added.
"We're doing everything we can to get this fixed as soon as possible.
"Thank you for your patience."
At around 10.30am, the spokesperson added: "We're really sorry that customers are still experiencing low water pressure or no water.
"Work is ongoing but the repair is taking longer than planned."
