A WOMAN has been charged after a man was stabbed in Bradford city centre earlier this week.
West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to Ivegate shortly before 12.30pm on Thursday after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed.
A 36-year-old man was found with a knife wound to the abdomen.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to injuries which are not considered to be life-threatening, according to officers.
A large cordon was in place and several police vehicles were at the scene.
West Yorkshire Police today told the Telegraph & Argus that Ashleene Gallagher, 33, of Selby Road, Garforth, Leeds, was charged with section 18 wounding with intent.
She was also charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.
She appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court today.
The defendant was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Bradford Crown Court on September 16.
