YOUNG entrepreneur Harry Doody has channelled his passion for fitness into a new gym concept, providing a range of classes.

CLASSFIT - Telegraph & Argus Trader of the Week - recently opened on Oxford Road in Gomersal, offering “a relaxed, personal environment with a limited membership”.

At the age of just 24, Harry has opened the gym to create a more personal style of gym experience that focuses on the individual. CLASSFIT provides up to 25 classes a week, ranging from reformer pilates, yoga and barre to boxfit, circuits and conditioning sessions.

As well as classes, the new gym facility is fully equipped with squat racks, dumbbells and barbells, benches, functional fitness machines, treadmills, boxing bags and prowler track to cater for those who want a gym where they can pursue their training routine.

Says Harry: “Unlike large, impersonal commercial gyms, CLASSFIT is based on small group training with expert coaching to ensure members receive a one-to-one personal experience with the right level of support and knowledge.

The gym will only be open to a small membership base, limiting numbers, to avoid common issues often seen at big gyms.”

Harry, who qualified as a personal trainer and has years of experience running gyms, adds: “The health and fitness industry continues to grow, with more of us looking to put our health first.

“But it can be a confusing, daunting environment for many, especially if you’re new to exercise or need support to determine your goals and how best to achieve them.

“Over the last few years, I have seen the upsides and downsides to a wide range of gym styles and have brought the best parts together to create a gym that’s a little different.

“Our aim is to keep the membership limited so that every single member gets the attention they deserve. We don’t want people waiting for machines at busy times and we hope that everyone can try something different, like barre or reformer pilates without being placed on long waiting lists.

“It’s a gym that’s all about community and enabling people to experience a wide range of activities - possibly some that they’ve never had the opportunity to try before.”

CLASSFIT has been privately financed by Harry and will bring a number of jobs to the area, with a group of fitness trainers joining the team.

The gym is offering a five-day free opening trial to allow people to get a feel for the classes and training environment before they commit. Monthly memberships start at £29.99 for full access to the gym and classes. Reformer membership at £59.99 includes full access to the gym, classes and unlimited reformer pilates classes.

The gym will be open Monday to Thursday 6am-9pm, Fridays 6am-7pm and weekends 7am- 12pm.
