A BRADFORD fish and chip shop has gone up for sale.
Beacon Road Fisheries, in Wibsey is on the market for just under £80,000.
Ernest Wilson Business Agents announced the listing on its Facebook page yesterday.
It said: "A fantastic opportunity to acquire this highly profitable fish and chips shop, occupying a prime main road location in the heart of a densely populated district of Bradford."
The chippy has been run by the same people since 2017 and is "one of the oldest and most well-known fish and chip shops in the area", according to a spokesperson for Ernest Wilson.
It has undergone an extensive refurbishment.
The building is single-storey and has a customer waiting area, as well as a three pan counter frying range.
There is a level preparation, chipping and rumbling room to rear and it has an enclosed yard and bin store.
A toilet is shared with adjacent businesses premises.
The spokesperson for Ernest Wilson said it has "built a strong reputation with a loyal customer base".
The business generates more than £5,000 per week.
Beacon Road Fisheries currently opens from 11.30am until 1.30pm and 4pm and 7pm through Wednesday to Friday.
The spokesperson for Ernest Wilson said the current owners have relocated to the east coast and that is why it is trading "in very limited hours".
The chippy said on its Facebook page on July 27: "Due to the logistics of running two busy fish and chip shops and now living in Filey we are unfortunately closed for the foreseeable future on Saturdays at Beacon Road."
A spokesperson for Ernest Wilson said: "The business currently does not offer delivery services, presenting an excellent opportunity to further boost trade by introducing Just Eat or similar platforms."
They added: "With the potential to increase opening times and further boost trade, this is a tremendous opportunity for a local operator."
The premises is to be offered on a new lease with reasonable rent but the business owners also own the freehold property and "would consider sensible offers for the same", according to the spokesperson for Ernest Wilson.
