A COMPANY has been granted permission to install a new totem sign at a former pub site that is due to become an electric vehicle charging hub.

International company Fastned has been granted advertising consent to erect the six metre high illuminated sign at the former Kingswood Arms site in Cutler Heights – which has been vacant since the pub was demolished in 2019.

Earlier this year the company was granted planning permission to redevelop the site into a car charging station with eight rapid charging bays covered by a solar glass canopy.

Now Bradford Council has granted advertising permission for a totem at the derelict site at the junction of Cutler Heights Lane and Sticker Lane.

Planning officers said: β€œThe proposal is not considered harmful to visual amenity or public safety.”

The company told the Telegraph & Argus they were unable to give an exact date on when the development would be completed.
