SHOCK has been expressed after a supercar burst into flames following a crash on a key Bradford road.
Emergency services rushed to Leeds Road yesterday afternoon to attend to the blaze.
Footage shows how the front end of a yellow Audi R8 had been burnt away.
The West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service says the vehicle collided with a tree at around 3.30pm.
It is believed the car was part of a wedding convoy.
Nobody was injured.
There was no police involvement following the one-vehicle collision, a spokesperson for the force said.
Businesses in the area have expressed their shock to the Telegraph & Argus.
One shop owner said: "We saw it all.
"There have been lots of wedding convoys going past in these last couple of weeks. The procession was going down.
"It was going to bump into the car in front so instead of that it veered off into the tree.
"Soon as it hit the tree it was alight straight away. It was not even a second.
"It got massive then people dispersed.
"We were all absolutely shocked."
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Fire crews from Bradford Fire Station attended reports of vehicle on fire on Leeds Road, Bradford, just after 3.30pm yesterday (August 8).
"On arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the car fire.
"The car had collided with a tree – no other vehicles were involved.
"No persons were injured.
"They left the scene just after 4pm."
