POLICE have issued an update after a teenager on a pedal bike was injured in a crash.
Police and ambulance were called to the collision, which involved a car, in Tyersal Lane, in Bradford's Holme Wood estate, at around 4pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 6).
The incident happened near the road's junction with Sutton Crescent.
The boy was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
This morning, West Yorkshire Police told the Telegraph & Argus a woman, 41, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit (drugs).
She has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
Buses were being forced to divert for around an hour as the road was blocked by the collision.
First West Yorkshire posted on X at 4.11pm to say its 608 bus was having to take a different route in both directions.
The service was diverting via Holme Wood Road, Cutler Heights Lane, and Broad Lane, heading into Bradford.
The return route was diverting via Cutler Heights Lane and Holme Wood Road.
This diversion cut out six bus stops in the Holme Wood estate, along Broadstone Way.
Other traffic was reportedly coping well and the crash was cleared just after 5pm.
