Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) was called to a collision in Tyersal Lane, in the Holme Wood estate in Bradford at 3.56pm today.

Officers arrived at 4.07pm after being called to the scene by YAS.

The boy was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.

A woman was arrested in relation to the crash and police are continuing to investigate.

Buses were being forced to divert for around an hour, as the road was blocked by the collision.

First West Yorkshire posted on X at 4.11pm to say its 608 bus, which serves between the Holme Wood estate and Bradford city centre, was having to take a different route in both directions.

The service was diverting via Holme Wood Road, Cutler Heights Lane, and Broad Lane, heading into Bradford.

The return route was diverting via Cutler Heights Lane and Holme Wood Road.

This diversion cut out six bus stops in the Holme Wood estate, along Broadstone Way.

Other traffic was reportedly coping well and the crash was cleared just after 5pm.
