THE owner of a Bradford fast food chain has promised more openings across the UK as he revealed details of his first venture down south.

Tauseef Malik is the man behind hamburger restaurant Mr T's which first opened on Great Horton Road in 2016.

Since then, Mr Malik has opened shops across the north and Midlands including in cities Leeds, Manchester, and Birmingham.

He is now to open an eighth store in a unit on the outside of Broad Street Mall in Reading town centre later this week.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus, Mr Malik said: "I am really happy with it and the progression in the last five or six years. We are very pleased.

"Since opening our inaugural store in Bradford back in 2016, we have rapidly expanded to eight locations and are gearing up for even more launches.

"In the next 12 months, there are another seven in the pipeline.

"We had good success in the midlands and the north so thought let's go down south.

"London is a big city so we thought let's enter near there and see how we get on.

"We have put a poster up and we have been getting really good feedback from people saying they are really keen for a store in the south."

The fast food chain serves pizzas, burgers, parmesans, and milkshakes.

In 2022, Mr T's was recognised as the Restaurant of the Year in the North East at the Uber Eats Restaurant Awards.

In the past, it has welcomed champion boxers Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder to taste what's on offer.

"Our marketing is a slightly bit different, Mr Malik added.

"Our food is the main thing. Everything is made fresh.

"The Bradford branch is busy and the rest of the shops are doing very good.

"It shows that customers are there and they are willing to supporters us across the UK.

"Every time we bring a celebrity across we see a difference in the sales. It is a key marketing tool for the brand."

He added: "Our menu, featuring delicious pizzas, mouth-watering burgers, delectable parmesans, and indulgent milkshakes, has captured the hearts (and taste buds) of our customers, and we can’t wait to bring it to the new community.

"This is a remarkable milestone for us, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Reading to experience the vibrant atmosphere and delightful flavours that Mr T's has to offer."
