A STOLEN BMW "raised suspicion" due to the manner of its parking, police said.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Batley & Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team noticed the black car whilst on a routine patrol in Cleckheaton on Saturday.
Checks revealed the vehicle was displaying false plates.
It was also soon discovered that it was outstanding stolen.
A post on the West Yorkshire Police's Batley & Spen Facebook page read: "Officers from the Batley & Spen NPT were on routine patrol in Cleckheaton yesterday, when they came across the below vehicle, which raised suspicion, due to the manner of parking.
"Checks soon revealed that the vehicle was displaying false number plates, and it was soon discovered to be an outstanding stolen vehicle.
"Enquiries are ongoing, but if you have any information in relation to this vehicle, please contact 101."
