POLICE have told residents they are aware of growing concerns over the antisocial use of off-road bikes in their area.

Inspector Carl Robinson, Leeds North West NPT, has said police resources are dedicated to investigating the reports in Guiseley and Rawdon.

He urged residents to report the incidents via 101 so officers can respond appropriately.

A post from Insp Robinson on the West Yorkshire Police - Leeds North West page read: "Dear residents of Guiseley and Rawdon.

"I am contacting to inform you that I am aware of the growing concerns regarding the antisocial use of off-road bikes in the area. 

"I have been in consultation with the local councillors, who are in regular communication with myself, and can assure you that police resources are dedicated towards attending and investigating any reports that are made. 

"Please can you continue to report any and all matters in the local area so that we can respond appropriately and collate information around who is causing harm in your community and where.

"If you do have any information regarding those involved, please again continue to report this to ourselves. If it is an emergency, please utilise 999. If not, utilise 101 or online report mechanisms.
