FURTHER works have been completed across Bradford city centre this week.

More space has been opened up for pedestrians on Bank Street.

New paving has been laid on Market Street and further excavation work has taken place on Bridge Street and Broadway to make way for more planters.

Across the city centre, the Bradford City Centre Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme have been installing new bus stops and shelters.

"As we shared last week, our construction contractor, Balfour Beatty, recently commissioned an independently-led audit of the city centre works and are currently in the process of implementing further accessibility improvements.

"This week, we have made adjustments to crossing points on Market Street, Broadway and Bridge Street, and further changes will be implemented as work progresses."

They added: "Temporary pedestrian crossings have been opened across the city centre in places where works are happening.

"Please note that next week, the pedestrian route on the south side of Hall Ings will be temporarily diverted to the north side of Hall Ings to allow work on the new footway to continue between the junctions with Vicar Lane and Drake Street."
