An organisation that offers community classes and mental health support programmes for black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) people has received funding.
Better Communities Bradford, which seeks to improve areas of Bradford that are disadvantaged socially, criminally, economically, educationally, and environmentally, will use the funds to advance its efforts.
This includes increasing provisions and knowledge available to residents, enhancing skills and mental health, and driving economic and community cohesion.
The funding will enable the organisation to advance key initiatives including offering education, training, and retraining opportunities, particularly among unemployed individuals.
Financial and technical assistance, a well as business advice and consulting, will also be provided to help unemployed people who wish to set up a business or who already run a business.
Abbas Najib, CEO of Better Communities Bradford, said: "Better Communities Bradford remains dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where every member of the community has the opportunity to thrive."
